Exactly four and a half months following the previous coach's initial media briefing as the club's manager, successor the German coach met with the media at Ibrox for the initial occasion.

The scale of the challenge facing him is well known, considering Martin's turbulent and unsuccessful 123-day spell.

The ex- Wednesday boss was joined by club chairman the chairman, along with the frequently questioned duo of sporting director Kevin Thelwell and CEO Stewart.

But what precisely was revealed from the 36-year-old coach's maiden media outing as the club's manager?

Rohl's Main Priority - Winning is Everything

One thing emerged loud and clear from Rohl's initial presentation before the local press - he recognizes the need to win matches, and achieve this rapidly.

His predecessor Martin managed just 17 matches and four months as manager, so the inquiry arose about how long the new man believes is reasonable to transform the underperforming team.

Although deftly avoiding a specific response that might create future pressure, Rohl's communication was quite clear.

"Hopefully as soon as possible," he stated. "That is essential.
"In football you have not much time. One can talk about future plans but it's understood it concerns immediate results and the short-term involves securing victories. That is what I demand.
"Another aspect remains obvious - I need every squad member to understand how we want to play. I return to my main message: victory comes first, it's attractive and it's together. If you follow this order, I believe that I'll stay very long here."

Pressure is Standard

Martin required security protection to exit the Falkirk Stadium after his last game in charge.

We've seen how toxic situations can turn at sports teams when results decline. Demonstrations have nearly become a regular part of game day experience on each part of the city currently.

As the club's most youthful manager in history, the inquiry was posed about what qualities the coach thinks he has that would allow him to cope, never mind thrive, in one of the highest-pressure positions in UK soccer?

"I think expectations in this business is normal," he stated. "You must learn that very quickly.
"I think certain individuals could reference my age but I'm a decade and a half on this path. I had an excellent opportunity to work with Bayern Munich and serve as only an assistant manager, but I experienced what it means to manage a team and the demands involved.
"You begin getting results and then certain people will say you need to produce entertaining football. That becomes the stage but that's exactly what I want. I relish those expectations and I look forward about the future."

The Sporting Director Defends Chermiti Signing & Hiring His Son

Kevin Thelwell media conference

The media pack had numerous questions from the media for Thelwell.

Significant attention has focused on the appointment of his son as recruitment chief, with supporters unconvinced about his qualifications for the role.

Nevertheless, he justified and clarified the decision to recruit Thelwell Jnr to the club.

"It's always awkward to listen and optically I believe everyone understood when we made this decision to appoint Robbie that he would be seen in a particular way," Thelwell stated.
"The reality of the situation is that we want to bring the top talent here.
"My perspective on his professional path and background is he required no family help in soccer.
"He served at Aston Villa as a senior scout, he then joined Norwich City as scouting chief and then got promoted to player pathways manager.
"Prior to our recruited him, two top division clubs wanted to acquire him. Our approach from the start of the process was consult with Patrick, the chairman and deputy chairman Marathe about this matter.
"I was extremely open and I think he likely underwent a more rigorous procedure than anybody else who's employed by the team.
"I'm certain is that he will work constantly to achieve success for this football club and I'm looking forward seeing him demonstrating that he's going to be a valuable employee for the club."

Thelwell also supported the acquisition of striker Chermiti, who arrived at the club for a reported initial fee of eight million pounds, having failed to score in 24 appearances for Everton.

The sporting director who brought the Portugal youth international to Merseyside from Sporting - once more for large funds in a £15m transfer.

He was asked if he supports his multi-million pound purchase, who is yet to score in seven outings for the club.

"Yes, completely," Thelwell responded. "I believe Youssef Chermiti represents who's got great ability.
"I haven't doubted him in any way. Similarly, I believe the manager will assist in get the best out of Youssef.
"These are initial stages for him, he's a promising prospect and naturally with young talents they sometimes take time.
"But I'm certain over the course of his career at the club he's going to prove that he's a highly capable player."

Stewart Acknowledges Fan Frustration and Hurt

Stewart was also in the media scrutiny, considering the criticism that has been aimed his way by some of the club's fans.

Additionally, there was a sign in the Sandy Jardine stand during the last tie with Dundee United suggesting Stewart - and the sporting director - to pack his bags before being removed for him.

Similar to the sporting director, Stewart didn't evade the topic.

"I totally understand the disappointment and hurt that fans are experiencing because results this season haven't met good enough and nobody's happy with those," he said.
"The hurt and disappointment fans experience is matched inside the boardroom.
"Recognize that there has to be an outlet for that dissatisfaction and as chief executive, that's me.
"I serve as focal point for such issues and my role as a
